Unfortunately, one of the calves George and his partner roped was injured and had to be put to sleep....several fans who were there told me it was a difficult and sad situation but was handled very professionally...George stayed there until the calf was hauled away in a truck after being sedated by the Vet.....and that fans were very quiet and respectful as George rode off the Arena.....

Two of the prizes for the winners....the trucks are provided by Cavender Chevy....many of you no doubt have seen the tv ads George has been doing with Stuart Cavender for the last few years....you can see many of them on You Tube....;)
This year, actor James Pickens, who plays Dr. Webber on "Grey's Anatomy", visited the roping and got advice from George for a team roping he wants to start in California....who knew he ropes in his spare time??? I admit I was surprised to learn that...LOL....
