When Hurricane Harvey made landfall in Texas, the eye of the storm went over Rockport, TX and surrounding communities...devastating the area....George Strait joined TX Gov. Abbott and other local officials on Sept. 21, 2017 and together participated in a press conference at the local Ace Hardware store, to bring awareness to the local needs of the residents and assure them they would continue to get help to rebuild their towns....below are some photos....as you can see, George not only addressed the crowd (estimated to be about 2,000!!), but also signed autographs and took many photos with fans....George and his family own a home in Rockport and he shared the fact it had received damage from the storm.....
