On July 17th, George performed at the Gunnison Tough benefit for cancer research and support for survivors....long-time friend, songwriter Dean Dillon arranged for him to appear as a "surprise guest performer" and the crowd there, predictably, went wild at the sight of the King of Country on stage....this also was another in a long list of Mr. Strait's philanthropic efforts....
