On Friday, Feb. 10th, 2017 George Strait participated in the MusiCares’ pre-Grammy dinner at the Los Angeles Convention Center which honored Tom Petty as their "Person of the Year".   Many artists performed during the concert,  with country superstar George Strait trading in neo-traditionalism for rocking out with a reading of “You Wreck Me,” backed by a house band that included Booker T. Jones, Larkin Poe, David Mansfield, Jay Bellerose, and anywhere from one to three Heartbreakers at a time.

In addition to his concert performance, George sure looked like he had a grand ol' time....posing on the red carpet, catching up with Stevie Nicks and Tom Petty backstage....and even visiting the SWAG room earlier to snatch up some goodies that are given to all performers and presenters at awards shows....a sampling of photos below:
