More steps down memory lane...
The photo on the left shows George accepting the 1986 CMA Male Vocalist Award...in the middle photo George posed with the 1993 ACM Country Music Movie of the Year trophy for "Pure Country", and the one of the right is George on stage at the 1989 CMA's receiving the Entertainer Award for the first time.
George sings "We Really Shouldn't Be Doing This" (right)  then later on shows off his 1998 CMA Male Vocalist of the Year award (above).
On the left photo, George accepts the 1997 CMA Album of the Year for CYLWM, and on the right, he holds both tropies he won that night (the other being Male Vocalist) in a very unusual position...:)  But he looks mighty happy in both pictures!!!!
George wowed the crowd at the 1997 ACM's with his co-hosting performance, his dead-on singing during "One Night at a Time" and his elegant, mandarin-collar tux!!!  He also won two awards: Male Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year for "Blue Clear Sky"!!!!!
George shows off the two 1985 CMA tropies he won for Male Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year for "Does Fort Worth Ever Cross Your Mind"...both photos were taken at his office in Nashville....
The two photos above and the ones below are from the 1990 CMA's...when George won his 2nd Entertainer of the Year Award...I especially like the one of him looking down at the Award..
